We've teamed up with Breast Cancer UK to have a bra bank in store. Bring in your unwanted but still wearable bras and we will pass them on to be used in the developing world to make women who can't afford underwear safer by giving them what they need.
Did you know that in many countries women without the full complement of underwear are targets for sexual crimes and assault?
Any bras that are not still servicable will be broken down into component parts (Underwires, metal hooks, scrap fabric etc...) and recycled to raise funds for Breastcancer UK. Details of the charity and their registered number are on our bra bank box in store.
Currently we are taking in recycling of any oral care products including plastic toothbrushes, toothbrush heads, toothbrush packaging, toothpaste tubes and packaging, floss boxes and packaging. These are sent to Terracycle where they are made into reusable products in exchange for funds for Oakhaven Hospice. Please drop your oral care recycling into the shop.
We are currently raising funds to purchase a catastrophic bleed kit for our town. These bits of kit are proven to be as effective at saving lives as defibrillators so we wanted our town to have one. Once purchased it will be situated in a lock box to be used in conjunction with the emergency services.
We are running a series of £100 fundraisers in store - please get involved and have a go!
Or, if your business would like to make a contribution we will be sure to let everyone know you have helped your community.
Every fundraiser project has a great prize to be won for just one pound a go.
We need to raise a total of £650 + vat - if you or your business would like to make a bigger donation we would be very grateful too!
